MEMPHIS, TENN. (December 15, 2015) –American Airlines has announced it is adding a third nonstop flight between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA), starting March 3, 2016.
American Airlines will use a two-class 80-seat Embraer E175 aircraft for the third MEM-LGA flight. The third frequency will run on weekdays, with two flights a day between MEM and LGA scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays.
“New York City is a prime destination for both business and leisure passengers of Memphis International Airport,” said Pace Cooper, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Memphis Shelby-County Airport Authority (MSCAA). “American’s addition of another frequency is an indication that our passengers are responding when carriers combine desired destinations with competitive fares.”
