Southwest Airlines has announced that it will begin nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) beginning March 7. The flight will operate twice daily Sundays through Fridays and once a day on Saturdays.
Memphis International Airport (MEM) has maintained its status as the world’s second busiest cargo airport and the busiest cargo airport in North America, according to 2018 world airport traffic rankings released by Airports Council International.
The Memphis City Council has approved the appointment of Gregory Fletcher to the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) Board of Commissioners. Fletcher, who was nominated by Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, will fill the term vacated by Keri Wright, which will expire on December 31, 2020.
Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) and its partners will host an Edge4Vets career development workshop for local veterans on Tuesday, October 1. The workshop will take place from 10 am until 3:30 pm at the Hilton Memphis at 939 Ridge Lake Boulevard in Memphis.
The Memphis City Council recently approved the reappointment of Jim Keras Jr., owner of Jim Keras Automotive Group, to the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) Board of Commissioners. Keras, who was nominated by Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland, joined the MSCAA board in 2007. His new term will expire on December 31, 2025.
