MEM expects 90,000 people to pass through TSA checkpoint for Spring Break
More than 90,000 people are expected to pass through the TSA checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the two – week Spring Break travel period, which runs from March 5-16. The peak days are expected to be March 8 and March 15, with more than 10,000 people passing through the checkpoint each day.

Southwest Airlines to launch nonstop service between Memphis and Austin in October
Southwest Airlines has announced that it will offer nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) starting October 1, 2026. The flight is scheduled to operate six days weekly from Sunday through Friday.
