MEMPHIS, TENN. (June 1, 2016) – Allegiant has launched a new seasonal nonstop flight between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
The flight will run twice weekly. Tickets are now on sale at www.allegiant.com.
The LAX flight will run on Thursday and Sunday and is scheduled to end on August 14. However, strong passenger demand could lead to an ongoing service between MEM and LAX.
This flight marks the fourth new air service addition for MEM in 2016.
Allegiant now offers nonstop service to nine destinations at MEM, including Austin, Destin/Ft. Walton, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Orlando/ Sanford, Phoenix/Mesa, St. Pete-Clearwater and Fort Lauderdale. Allegiant began operations at MEM in May 2015.
"Additional service to LAX is another feather in our cap in providing access to the West Coast,” said Pace Cooper, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority. “We’re thrilled with Allegiant’s continued growth at MEM.”
