MEM expects more than 59,000 people to pass through checkpoint for July 4th travel period

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects more than 59,000 people to pass through the checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the Fourth of July weekend travel period, which will take place between July 1-7. The peak days are projected to be Thursday, July 3 and Sunday, July 6, with approximately 10,000 people expected to pass through the checkpoint each day.

MEM on the Move: Construction to affect airport crosswalk access, departure drop-off starting June 4

Ongoing construction for Memphis International Airport’s Terminal Modernization and Seismic Program (TMSP) project will affect pedestrian crosswalk access and departure level entrances beginning Wednesday, June 4.  Starting June 4, pedestrians entering the airport from the departures/ticketing level will need to utilize the crosswalks at the A and C terminals to enter the terminal.
