MEM expects more than 48,000 people to pass through checkpoint for Labor Day Weekend travel period

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects more than 48,000 people to pass through the checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the 2024 Labor Day Weekend travel period, which will take place between August 29–September 3. The peak day is projected to be Friday, August 30, with more than 9,900 people passing through the checkpoint.

MEM expects more than 55,000 people to pass through checkpoint Memorial Day Weekend

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects more than 55,000 people to pass through the checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the Memorial Day weekend travel period, which will take place between May 23 and May 28. The peak days are projected to be Thursday and Friday, with more than 10,000 people passing through the checkpoint each day. The projected throughput this weekend represents an increase of 5.8 percent compared to the same travel period in 2023, which was the busiest Memorial Day Weekend since 2008.
