Airport Receives $117,247 TVA Incentive for Major Energy-Efficient Lighting Upgrades

Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) has been awarded a $117,247.63 energy efficiency incentive through the Tennessee Valley Authority’s (TVA) EnergyRight® for Business & Industry Program, in partnership with Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW). The funding recognizes a large-scale LED lighting upgrade that is delivering substantial energy savings and long-term operational benefits across Frederick W. Smith International Airport (MEM).

Ongoing system-wide water pressure issues by Memphis Light, Gas and Water have forced the temporary closure of the Memphis International Airport (MEM) passenger terminal.

Memphis International Airport (MEM) has reopened its passenger terminal at following Friday’s water pressure related closure. The airport reopened on Saturday.
