2022 was a pivotal year in the history of Memphis International Airport (MEM). A new $245 million passenger concourse, the launch of Spirit Airlines, the return of near prepandemic-level passenger traffic, and a new $309 million centralized deicing facility highlighted a year of reinvention for MEM.
Memphis Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) will host public information meetings on October 25 and 26 to present details of its current Master Plan Update (MPU). Both sessions will be held in the Central Ballroom of the Holiday Inn – University of Memphis.
Memphis International Airport (MEM) will open its modernized B concourse on Tuesday, February 15. The first flight at the new concourse is scheduled to be a Delta Air Lines flight arriving at MEM at 6:18 pm. Departing flights will begin operations at the new concourse on Wednesday, February 16.
Starting on Wednesday, May 26, all airlines at Memphis International Airport will conduct baggage operations in the B baggage lobby. American Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines will all move baggage service offices to the B area on that date. All other airlines already utilize the B baggage area.
