MEMPHIS, Tenn. (November 30, 2017) – Starting December 1, even more Memphis International Airport (MEM) passengers will be able to fly on United Airlines to New York/Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) thanks to the addition of a larger aircraft.
United is adding a 128-seat Airbus 319 aircraft on one of its frequencies to EWR. The larger aircraft will offer customers 30 percent more seats for its service between Memphis and New York/Newark and is scheduled to depart Memphis at 5:11p.m daily except Saturday. The flight is timed to provide customers with convenient connections throughout the Northeast. Additionally, United Express continues to operate twice daily service between Memphis and the Big Apple.
“We are very excited to see United adding seats and giving our passengers more opportunities to fly to the Northeast,” said Pace Cooper, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority. “This is yet another example of MEM’s passenger growth being met with additonal airline capacity.”
