MEMPHIS, TENN. (May 6, 2026) – Marshall Stevens, A.A.E., Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority, was inducted as Chair of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) for 2026-2027 during the 98th Annual AAAE Conference and Exposition in Los Angeles, CA.
Stevens, who succeeds Rebecca Hupp, A.A.E., Airport Director for the Boise Airport as AAAE chair, was elected along with other members of the AAAE Executive Committee by the AAAE membership. Founded in 1928, AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing the individuals who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports. AAAE’s 12,000 members represent more than 960 airports as well as hundreds of companies and organizations that support the airport industry. Headquartered in Alexandria, Va., AAAE serves its membership through results-oriented representation in Washington, D.C., and delivers a wide range of industry services and professional development opportunities, including training, conferences, and a highly respected accreditation program.
Stevens is the third representative from MSCAA to be elected AAAE chairman, following former CEOs Larry Cox and Scott Brockman.
“Marshall Stevens’ election as chairman of AAAE is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects his impact on the airport industry and the respect he has among his peers,” said Terry Blue, MSCAA President and CEO. “In his role at AAAE, he’ll help guide the organization’s strategic direction and serve as an advocate for airport priorities and federal funding.”
Stevens joined MSCAA in August 2023 after previously serving as Deputy Executive Director for Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) in Middletown, PA, for 15 years. He previously served as Airport Manager for Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport in Queensbury, NY, from 1999-2008.
