Memphis, TN – Memphis International Airport (MEM) is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated 2nd Annual MEM Runway 5K on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
This exclusive event grants runners, walkers, and aviation enthusiasts a rare opportunity to experience the airport grounds, and rare views of MEM that served nearly 5 million passengers in 2025 and ranks among one of the busiest cargo airports in world.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Exclusive Course: Experience a certified 5K route alongside aircraft and sweeping runway views.
Commemorative Swag: All registered participants will receive a limited-edition race T-shirt and a unique finisher medal.
Post Race Celebration: After the race, participants will enjoy free food, live music, vendor booths, and the chance to win great prizes.
Supporting a Great Cause: Proceeds from the race will support the Memphis International Airport Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, who focuses on civic engagement, education, sustainability efforts, health, and community-supporting initiatives.
REGISTRATION & TICKET PRICING
Due to federal security protocols and airfield capacity, space is strictly limited to 2,000 participants and no outside spectators will be permitted on the airfield.
Early-Bird Registration (June 1 through July 4): $35 (Ages 10 and up); $20 (Ages 3-9)
Standard Registration (July 5- September 13): $45 (Ages 10 and up); $30 (Ages 3-9)
IMPORTANT SECURITY INFORMATION
All attendees (3 and older) must pre–register online; registration will close on September 13, 2026, or once capacity is reached. On race day, all runners who are 18 and older must present a valid government-issued at check-in.
