New Badges
Steps for obtaining your badge credentials at MEM.
Contact an Authorized Signatory to complete your ID Badge Application Form on the Web Portal.
Disqualifying Crimes: We are unable to fingerprint any applicant that has any items marked YES. If any of the items are checked YES on the application, or if there are questions, please have your applicant follow these procedures:
If you have questions about whether the disqualifying crime is pending (unresolved) or has been adjudicated (resolved) you can check by going to the courts and to collect any documentation (court paperwork, police reports, etc.) that reflects the end outcome commonly referred to as the “disposition” of your charge as you will need to provide it to the Airport Badging
After you have all the documentation needed, bring it to Airport Badging Office.
Bring TWO forms of unexpired, government issued ID to the ID Office.
Acceptable forms of ID are as follows (click the link above for details):- Passport + Driver’s License or State ID
- Passport + Social Security Card
- Driver’s License + Social Security Card
- Driver’s License + Certified Birth Certificate
Applicants must complete and pass the Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessment (STA). These security background checks are conducted through fingerprinting, and are ongoing over the course of employment.-
After you receive your security background check clearances, you can now complete all training modules in the IET Training Portal.
After successfully completing the IET training, you are ready to be badged.
Badge Renewals
Current badge holders must renew their badge ANNUALLY.

Online Security Training
Required for ALL EMPLOYEES – new badge holders and badge renewals.
ALL training modules displayed after login MUST be completed before your badge will be issued or renewed.
Authorized Signatory Training Class
Classes are held the 2nd Monday of each month. Check-in starts at 9am.
- All Authorized Signers must have a MSCAA Airport Badge
- There will be no admittance after class time.
All companies operating at MSCAA are required to have an Authorized Signatory in possession of an airport security badge. The individuals selected to serve in this role will be the point of contact for your company, serving as a liaison between the Airport Police Department, Badging Office and your organization. They will be responsible to follow TSA regulations to avoid any penalties or fines.
Some of the responsibilities for an Authorized Signer include:
- Deactivating badges when appropriate to comply with TSA regulations avoiding penalties and fines
- Collecting badges from former employees who are no longer working for your company, avoiding non-returned badge fees
- Responding to badge audits, both comprehensive and random
- Receiving clearance notifications for employees who have applied for a security badge
- Maintaining employee records, updating employees addresses as needed
