Spirit Airlines to launch nonstop service between Memphis and Detroit in May

MEMPHIS, TENN. (March 10, 2025) – Spirit Airlines has announced that it will launch nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) starting May 8. The flight will operate four times weekly on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Tickets are on sale at www.spirit.com 

The airline will operate a 182-seat Airbus 321 aircraft for the MEM-DTW service.  

“Our new, nonstop service provides our Memphis Guests with a convenient, affordable option to visit Detroit and sample the Motor City’s food, art and history,” said John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines. “We’re excited to add yet another destination for Memphis travelers, who can take advantage of Spirit’s new travel options and enhanced experience.”
