Approximately 138,000 people are expected to pass through the TSA checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the peak December holiday travel period, which runs from December 15-January 2. The peak days are expected to be Thursday, December 21 and Friday, December 22 with estimated throughputs of 8,500 and 8,900 respectively.

Over the past few weeks, Memphis International Airport has seen a significant uptick in social media comments and inquiries about the parking situation. We have regularly included parking updates and information in our news releases about holiday and peak travel, most recently the 4th of July weekend. Moving forward, will utilize the website and social media to proactively remind passengers ahead of peak days in the coming weeks as summer continues.
Southwest Airlines has launched its seasonal daily nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The route will operate through September 4.
Memphis International Airport (MEM) will open its modernized B concourse on Tuesday, February 15. The first flight at the new concourse is scheduled to be a Delta Air Lines flight arriving at MEM at 6:18 pm. Departing flights will begin operations at the new concourse on Wednesday, February 16.
