The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will award $16,135,955 to Memphis International Airport (MEM) as part of its Fiscal Year 2024 Airport Infrastructure Grants (AIG) under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

Memphis International Airport (MEM) has announced its Jon K. Thompson World Class Tour dates for 2024. The first tour of the year will take place on March 28.
Approximately 138,000 people are expected to pass through the TSA checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the peak December holiday travel period, which runs from December 15-January 2. The peak days are expected to be Thursday, December 21 and Friday, December 22 with estimated throughputs of 8,500 and 8,900 respectively.
