MEMPHIS, TENN. (July 16, 2020) – Southwest Airlines will now launch its new nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) on Sunday, July 26.
The service will run until August 10 and then resume on its original launch date of December 17. The flight will operate once a day, seven days a week.

Southwest Airlines began operations at MEM in November 2013 and most recently launched Memphis-Atlanta service in March 2020.
“This is very positive news in the midst of what’s been a very difficult year for aviation,” said Pace Cooper, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority. “Now passengers will be able to take advantage of Southwest’s new Memphis-Phoenix service sooner than expected!”
The updated schedule is as follows (subject to change):
Memphis to Phoenix
- Departs: 3:55 pm (CST)
- Arrives: 5:05 pm (MST)
Phoenix to Memphis
- Departs: 10:10 am (MST)
- Arrives: 3:15 pm (CST)
