The UAS/drone teams at MSCAA and FedEx continue to support the FAA UAS BEYOND program, whose goal is to safely advance the introduction of UAS (drones) into the national airspace.

Their joint efforts have pioneered several FAA regulatory milestones and technologies, including:

• Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations without Visual Observers (VO’s)
• Operations Over People (OOP) and Operations Over Moving Vehicles (OOMV)
• Night Operations
• Remote UAS Operations
• Livestreaming of UAS video

All of these advances support the objective of safe drone operations and help create a safer environment for Memphis International Airport employees, tenants, and visitors. The video below demonstrates some of these advances.
