Work continues on our initial phase of the impending Terminal Modernization and Seismic Program (TMSP), specifically the creation of a new commercial ground transportation lane along the south end of the short-term garage outside baggage claim. Starting Monday, December 9, the lower outer commercial drive on the baggage level will be closed, and all traffic will be directed to the inner and middle lanes. The primary impact of this closure will be for coach buses and MATA operations. These will move to the upper inner drive outside the C Terminal. A coach bus staging area will be created along the entrance road near the cell phone lot and there will be a limit of two buses at a time at the Terminal C location.
VIP/vendor lot users will still able to exit the lot via the lower outer drive until the new exit from the short term garage is completed. While there will be periodic construction activity in this area, the contractor will maintain at least one lane for these users.

Due to the active construction and barriers that are in place, employees and passengers should only utilize crosswalks when walking to and from the terminal.
Once the construction to convert this area of the short-term garage is completed, the exit for the employee annex lot outside of Terminal A will be changed to the north through a defined path out of the garage. Both vendors and employees will take the same path to the east to exit. As this date approaches, additional information and graphics will be shared with the MSCAA Board, employees, and tenants to assist with this transition.
MSCAA is targeting the end of March for the relocation of Uber and Lyft to the new commercial lane and the closure of existing commercial lanes.
We will continue to post updates to www.flymemphis.com/memonthemove to keep passengers abreast of construction impacts.
