MEMPHIS, TN (February 15, 2018) – Starting March 1, Uber and Lyft customers at Memphis International Airport (MEM) will have a new pickup location. The pickup areas will be located outside each of the A, B and C ticketing lobby exits on the outer commercial drive.
The change is being made to reduce traffic congestion at the baggage level, and to ensure quicker and more efficient procedures for both passengers and Uber and Lyft drivers. The new location will allow drivers to drop off and pick up at the same time, potentially reducing passenger wait times. The new pickup area features a covered waiting area outside B ticketing that can provide shelter during inclement weather.
“This change will result in a more convenient process for passengers doing business with Uber and Lyft,” said Scott Brockman, President and CEO of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority. “We will continue to work with all of our ground transportation partners to enhance this part of the travel experience.”
