MEM expects approximately 127,000 people to pass through checkpoint for December holiday travel period

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects an estimated 127,000 people to pass through the checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the 15-day 2025 December holiday travel period, which will take place between December 19-January 5. The peak day is projected to be Sunday, December 21 with approximately 9,300 people passing through the checkpoint.

Frontier Airlines

Frontier to launch nonstop flights to Las Vegas and Phoenix from MEM in March

Frontier Airlines has announced it will begin nonstop service to two destinations from Memphis International Airport (MEM) in March. Service to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas (LAS) begins on March 8 and will run twice weekly on Thursday and Sunday. Spring Break service to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) will launch on March 15 with additional frequencies scheduled on March 17, 19 and 22.

Delta Air Lines and Memphis International Airport will once again host the “Fantasy Flight” to the “North Pole” for patients from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and their families on Friday, December 5.

Frontier Airlines has launched nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). The service will run two times weekly on Thursday and Sunday.

MEM expects approximately 95,000 people to pass through checkpoint for Thanksgiving travel period

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects an estimated 95,000 people to pass through the checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the 11-day 2025 Thanksgiving travel period, which will take place between November 21-December 1. The peak days are projected to be Friday, November 21 and Sunday, November 30 with approximately 10,000 people passing through the checkpoint each day.

Tunnel between Terminal B & Pedestrian Plaza closed through Spring 2026

The next phase of our Terminal Modernization project is moving ahead of schedule. Effective October 21, 2025, the Pedestrian Tunnel between Terminal B and the Pedestrian Plaza is closed until Spring 2026.

MEM expects approximately 51,000 people to pass through checkpoint for Fall Break travel period

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects an estimated 51,000 people to pass through the checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the 2025 Fall Break travel period, which will take place between October 9-13. This represents an increase of about six percent compared to Fall Break 2024. The peak days are projected to be October 9, 10 and 12 with approximately 11,000 people passing through the checkpoint each day.
