Allegiant Air launched its inaugural nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and McGhee Tyson Airport (TSY) on Thursday, September 4. The flight arrived from Knoxville at approximately 7:59 pm, with the initial departure from Memphis scheduled for 8:49 pm. The seasonal service is scheduled to run through December 1, 2025.

Frontier to launch nonstop service between Memphis and Atlanta starting November 20

Frontier Airlines has announced it will begin nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) on November 20. The service will run two times weekly on Thursday and Sunday.

MEM expects approximately 48,000 people to pass through checkpoint for Labor Day Weekend travel period

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects an estimated 48,000 people to pass through the checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the 2025 Labor Day Weekend travel period, which will take place between August 28–September 2. The peak day is projected to be Friday, August 29, with more than 9,500 people passing through the checkpoint.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects more than 59,000 people to pass through the checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the Fourth of July weekend travel period, which will take place between July 1-7. The peak days are projected to be Thursday, July 3 and Sunday, July 6, with approximately 10,000 people expected to pass through the checkpoint each day.
