Approximately 45,000 people are expected to pass through the TSA checkpoint at Memphis International Airport (MEM) during the Spring Break travel period, which will take place March 7-11. The peak days are expected to be March 8 and March 10 with projected throughputs of 9,500 and 10,000, respectively.
With area schools observing their Spring Break in the coming weeks and travel numbers increasing, passenger traffic at Memphis International Airport (MEM) could exceed pre-pandemic levels from 2019. The peak travel period is expected to fall between March 9-13.
MEM is projecting more than 38,000 people to pass through the security checkpoint during the 5-day holiday travel period March 10-14, with expected peak travel days on Thursday, March 10, Friday, March 11 and Sunday, March 13.
