Memphis International Airport to open new concourse on February 15

Memphis International Airport (MEM) will open its modernized B concourse on Tuesday, February 15. The first flight at the new concourse is scheduled to be a ­­­­­Delta Air Lines flight arriving at MEM at 6:18 pm. Departing flights will begin operations at the new concourse on Wednesday, February 16.

Airport Authority board elects Michael Keeney as Chairman

Michael Keeney, managing shareholder at the Memphis office of Lewis Thomason Law Firm, has been selected as the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA). He succeeds Pace Cooper, whose term as Chairman ends on December 31, 2021. Keeney’s term begins January 1, 2022.

Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) has released its Business Diversity Development (BDD) report for the Fiscal Year 2021 (July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021). According to the report, Disadvantaged, Minority and Women Business Enterprises (D/M/WBEs) were awarded 29% of the $173.85 million total spent in the areas of construction, professional services and goods & services contracts.
