In an effort to continue its Business Diversity Development outreach, Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) is conducting a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) stakeholder informational meeting on Thursday, September 5 at the MSCAA Project Center at 4225 Airways Blvd.
The Memphis City Council recently approved the reappointment of Pace Cooper, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cooper Hotels, to the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) Board of Commissioners. Cooper, who was nominated by Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland, joined the MSCAA board in 2013 and currently serves as the board chairman.
Moody’s Investors Service has upgraded Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority’s (MSCAA’s) general airport revenue bonds to “A2” and has modified MSCAA’s rating outlook from “positive” to “stable.”
American Airlines will launch a new nonstop seasonal flight between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) starting December 18, 2019.
The flight is currently scheduled through January 7, but strong passenger demand could lead to ongoing service in the future.
More than 4.5 million passengers traveled through Memphis International Airport (MEM) in fiscal year 2018-2019, which ended on June 30. That figure represents a 5.13% increase compared to the previous fiscal year and marked the 5th consecutive fiscal year of passenger growth for the airport.
The number of MEM passengers has increased by more than 938,000, or 20.7%, since fiscal year 2014-2015.
Allegiant has announced that it will begin nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) starting November 15. The seasonal flight will run twice weekly on Friday and Monday through April 30.
